University of Rhode Island Theatre Department opened its season with the high-spirited, yet dramatic production of "Be Aggressive" by Annie Weisman. The play tells the story of Laura, a girl whose life is upended when her mother is suddenly killed in a car accident. The tension between the superficial veneer of cheer and Laura's very real struggle to find her true self amidst the chaos of teenage life created a thrilling theatrical experience.

University of Rhode Island stages Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing

URI Theatre students are making a big tadoo about William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. This production features several stellar graduating seniors who have dazzled audiences for most of tenure on the Kingston Campus. In fact, two of URI's top performers, Olivia Khoshatefeh and Andrew Burnap will bring the verbal sparring of the Bard's top characters to stage before they leave for their graduate studies at Brown and Yale universities respectively.
