Selected from a pool of 85 applicants, University of Rhode Island student Kevin Drumm of East Greenwich, RI, recently received the Beatrice S. Demers fellowship from the Rhode Island Foundation to study a foreign language overseas. Drumm is studying Spanish at TECNUN-University of Navarra.

The Beatrice S. Demers Fund provides fellowships to Rhode Island residents and anyone who is a student at a Rhode Island college or university studying a foreign language.
