Heather Hermanowski of Warwick recognized at URI's Public Relations Excellence Awards

The URI Harrington School of Communication and Media recently recognized outstanding students, including Heather Hermanowski of Warwick, R.I., at its second annual Public Relations Excellence Awards ceremony at the Alumni Center on March 26. Hermanowski won the Most Innovative Award.

Five award categories captured the essence of student achievement: leadership, most innovative, community/campus involvement, outstanding internship experience, and impact.

The Harrington School encourages students to make a difference in the global and local community. Renee Hobbs, the founding director of the Harrington School, said, "We applaud the achievements of our students as they contribute to make a difference both in the local and global community. Our school's mission is to work together to use the power of communication and information to make a difference in the world."
